Makes 1 Bowl
Prep Time: 20′
What you need:
- 1 x 400g Can of Chickpeas (leave some for decoration)
- 1 Garlic Clove, crushed
- 2 Tbsp Tahini
- 4 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 to 4 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
Drain the chickpeas and add them to your mixer. Add the garlic, tahini and lemon juice and start mixing and add the olive oil gradually.
Hummus is about how you like it, some prefer a very smooth texture, so you’ll need to add a bit of water (1tbsp) and additional olive oil and mix for longer. Some like it lemony and salty, etc… My advice is taste as you go and stop when it’s perfect for you!
Once finished, empty the hummus in a bowl, drizzle some olive oil, you can decorate with a few chickpeas or parsley leaves on top and voila!
Hummus is perfect as a snack dip for carrots, cucumbers and celery… Or with some bread, or bread sticks.
It’s nice with some cumin powder and/or paprika/cayenne pepper.
